Payroll for Contractors
Use our Contractors Payslip Quote to receive a breakdown of fees, superannuation and a payslip that shows exactly what you would be paid at PayMe accurate to the dollar.
PayMe - we do what we say we will do
- We offer a real time, personalised serviced – there is always someone available to assist you.
- We don't use answering machines or voice mail, so every call is answered by one of our team.
- We have one flat fee of 3% which covers all of your payroll needs - you will never pay more than 3% with PayMe.
- We guarantee to pay you on the Friday morning consistent with the pay cycle in your recruitment company contract. Therefore you can safely plan direct debits for pay Fridays.
What does the 3% flat fee include?
- A guaranteed consistent pay day in line with your recruitment company pay cycle
- Cover for workers' compensation, public liability and professional indemnity insurances
- Payment of your superannuation monthly, in arrears;
- Provision of Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) at no additional cost.
- Car and motorcycle leases at no additional cost.
- Salary sacrificing for laptops, mobile telephones and other work related items at no additional cost.
How Can I Join PayMe?
Simply click on the 'Contractors Join Online' button to the right, fill out the secure form and read and agree to our Contract for Payroll Services.
From there, we will send you the paperwork you need to complete for tax and superannuation purposes and then we will contact your recruitment company to complete your contract.
Other considerations if you are contracting in South Australia
Please call us to discuss how we can assist you, because where we can, the benefit is usually an increase of around 2 - 4% after our 3% fee compared to being paid directly by your recruitment company. This can be in the order of $4000 per year. This is unique to South Australia because the South Australian Government imposes significant levies on recruitment companies that do not apply to PayMe and must be considered on a case by case basis between you, PayMe and your recruitment company.
Other considerations if you are contracting in the ACT
If you are working in the ACT we can increase your pay by just over 3% compared to being paid directly by your recruitment company. This amounts to:
- $1400 per year if you are on $25/hour;
- $3000 per year if you are on $50/hour;
- $6000 per year if you are on $100/hour.
Sole Traders, Trusts and Companies
Contractors with Pty Ltd Companies or Trusts
We can assist contractors who own their own Pty Ltd Company. Our fees are:
- 2.2% if you provide your own insurances, and
- 2.6% if you would like us to cover you for $5m Professional Indemnity and $10m Public Liability insurance.
We then require that you obtain your own workers compensation insurance and we can assist you with this at our corporate rate for contractors in the ACT. We will always require copies of your certificates of currency.
For those contractors working through a trust, our accountant will assess the risks associated with paying you, and if we can assist, the fees are the same as for Pty Ltd companies above.
Sole Traders
Unfortunately we cannot provide services to Sole Traders.
