What Can Be Salary Sacrificed?
- Professional Expenses Payments such as professional membership fees, subscriptions to trade journals, magazines and papers. No FBT taxes apply to this benefit
- Novated Car Lease and car maintenance costs. FBT taxes apply to this benefit
- Superannuation Salary Sacrifice - By sacrificing cash salary for additional contribution to superannuation, you can increase your retirement savings and also save on tax. No FBT taxes apply to this benefit
- Internet Expenses - You can salary sacrifice the cost of an Internet connection such as ADSL and/or dial up. No FBT taxes apply to this benefit
- Laptops and PDAs - Laptops and PDAs used both for private and/or business use can be salary sacrificed. A limit of one per year applies. No FBT taxes apply to this benefit
- Mobile phones and other equipments - Mobile phones can be included in your package and paid for from your pre tax dollar. No FBT taxes apply to this benefit
- Anything that you would otherwise claim through your tax return at the end of the financial year
